A set of fountain pens using the Aston Matin kits. These are my own blanks, made from either native or NZ grown wood set in resin. These are finished in 16 layers of CA and then polished. I usually sell these to stores at a wholesale of around $25USD and retail for around $45USD. Customers love them and the copper is probably the most popular.

Sierra Pen with custom pen blank.

First resin pen.

Turning was not very good as the blank had crushed rock powder making it very hard and prone to chip. But I love the finished product.

In order to get more orange from the blank, I used a propane torch to speed up oxidation. Loved the way it worked.

My only regret was not painting the tube. It shows through the blank a little bit but it didn\'t ruin the overall look.

Lots of pot marks had to fill in the blank because of flower petals. But it\'s smooth now and looks great.
